Hey Gardeners,
Just wanted to reach out with latest numbers and updates. The garden has continued to do well through this heat. We are getting making on average three or four donations a week thank you Meg and Keith for making that possible. Thank you Joyce and family for the beans, and Rich for the Kale. Thank you Sue for the awesome broccoli! We are still waiting for the tomatoes, but there are plenty on the vine.
Last week I started going to Trinity Soup Kitchen and met Liz Miller who’s in charge of the program and was very nice. She explained that everything we bring either gets used in a meal or put out on a table for donation. I will probably be out on Sunday to harvest and take another donation Monday morning.
If you are able to harvest and take donations for we are always looking for help. The below are the two pantries we regularly donate to:
New Bethany Ministries : 339 W 4th Street, Bethlehem, PA (Fiona Byrne)
Trinity Soup Kitchen: 44 E Market Street, Bethlehem, PA (Liz Miller)
