Wanted to thank everyone that was able to make it out for the last two garden work days. It was so great to see you all! We had a decent season in total, though as each season is different there were some unique challenges. As we wrapped up our seventh season, we were able to make another donation of 40 lbs. to Trinity Soup Kitchen. Also donated a bunch of soaps and shampoos that Jaimee has been collecting. The results were good for our battery and bulb recycling, we had a car full of stuff, I would say well over 100 lbs. of batteries we kept out of landfills!
At this point the plants have stopped producing and we have concluded our work days for this season and finished making donations. However, if you still have plants growing and would like to donate, please take to any food bank and report the totals back to me. Please be sure to clean up your raised bed on your own.
Late February or very early in March we will have a meeting to talk about season 2018. We appreciate each and every one of you and the contributions you were able to make this year.
