I hope you are all well during what seems to be an never ending season of snow. With spring hopefully around the corner, it’s time to begin thinking about our gardens! Our plan will be again to start seeds like we did last year, and grow our plants in the atrium and give out plants to both gardeners and the congregation sometime near Mother’s Day. Pastor Candy and I wanted to do something a little different this year to be outdoors, socially distant and yet give the opportunity for anyone to participate. Tentatively, there would be an outdoor communion service on March 7th at 1:30PM, which also would be a great opportunity for those interested in planting seeds in our trays at that time as well. Don’t worry, we’ll supply the seeds!
I’m planning to get our standard staple of tomato, peppers and squash seeds, but if anyone can think of anything else (or favorite variety) we may also start, that sort of falls in line with an 8 week cycle, I can get seeds.
I also wanted to pass along that there is an upcoming Tools for Ministry workshop coming up on March 13th. This year is unique as it will be held via Zoom, which makes it super convenient. If you have an interest in being well equipped for serving in ministry, don’t miss this great chance as there are more than 30 different sessions to chose from: https://www.epaumc.org/news-information/2021/02/online-tools-for-ministry-coming-march-13/
Here’s to a Great Growing Season for 2021. May our efforts multiply God’s Abundance and continue to help us make an impact on so many families struggling.
